Stangs finish third in Colo Firecracker

It has been a super weekend for Kansas teams competing in the Colorado Tournaments, all the way from the top bracket and a third place finish for the Mustang Gold team clear down to the 14-U brackets where the Peppers 14 team finished in third place in the silver bracket of their portion of the affair.
Several players came out of this tournament with a big stock improvement, most noticeably Maize South senior to be Kelsey Sterneker who looks to pick up several offers from Division I schools with her play for the 18-U Renegades.

An earlier article we did here said that should Kelsey pick up some speed on her pitches along with hitting the weight room and gaining some strength, she would experience a rise in recruitment and it appears that was the case.
This week is over now, and many of these, and other teams are going on to additional tournaments this coming week.
We should have more forthcoming later this week on those as well as additional recruiting information from the tournament.
