QUICK TURNAROUND FOR LADY DRAGONS WITH MONDAY ROAD TEST AT GARDEN CITY
There will be no rest for the No. 3-ranked Hutchinson Community College women's basketball team as just 48 hours after the biggest victory of the season, the Lady Dragons head to Garden City for a make-up game because of last week's snowstorm.

The Lady Dragons and Broncbusters will meet for the second time this season at 5:30 p.m. on Monday at the Perryman Athletic Complex in Garden City. The game will be videostreamed live by the Blue Dragon Sports Network and broadcast live on Blue Dragon flagship station KWBW-AM (102.9) and on sister stations KWBW-AM/FM (1450/98.5) beginning at 5:20 p.m.
Monday's game will be the second for the Lady Dragons in an eight-day stretch. Between Monday's trip to Garden City and Wednesday's to Colby, the Lady Dragons will rack up a combined 14 hours on a bus and 820 miles traveled over a 48-hour period.
HCC (22-0, 8-0 Jayhawk West) needed to rally from a seven-point second-half deficit on Saturday to defeat No. 9 Seward County 81-71 at the Sports Arena. HCC extended its winning streak to 23 games and homecourt win streak to 96 games as Kalani Purcell posted a huge double-double of 22 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Lady Dragons.
Garden City (13-10, 5-3) is locked in a four-team battle for third and fourth place in the Jayhawk West. The Broncbusters defeated Colby 63-47 on Saturday and have won 5 of their last 6 games.
HCC suffered its only Jayhawk West loss in the last 2 1/2 seasons last year at Garden City. Hutch defeated the Broncbusters 77-43 this season on Jan. 15 at the Sports Arena.
