Kansas Shrine Bowl Players
The Kansas Shrine Bowl list has been officially released to HSP and is released to the public Wednesday, Dec. 17.
The selections were made from a list of players nominated by their own coaches. Nearly 40 prep sports media professionals did the voting across the state. Ties were broken and necessary position adjustments(we can not select 8 quarterbacks even if they are the 8 top vote getters) were made by Duane Frazier, of the Wichita Eagle and Brent

Maycock of the Topeka Journal, with team requirement input from the 2004 Kansas Shrine Bowl Head Coaches, C.J. Hamilton of Silver Lake, and Gene Flax of Hays Thomas More Prep-Marion.
These selected players will be officially invited to participate in the game by a local Shriner. The game, scheduled to be played July 31, 2004 in Welch Stadium in Emporia, will be the 31st annual charity event benefiting Shriners Hospitals for Children. At Shriners Hospitals for Children, medical care and treatment is free to Kansas kids, (0 to 18) on the basis of medical need. In addition to receiving the profits from this game, Shriners Hospitals for Children are supported by Shriner dues and generous donations from humanitarian individuals and business
